PARTICLE ANALYSIS

Particle characterization plays a large part in ensuring that components are consistent, safe and adhere to regulatory requirements. Our particle characterization lab can help determine the risk of particulates in your system and help determine the source of contamination.

Our approach to particle analysis can assist with the following

• Visual characterization by stereo-microscopy for shape, color, & coating

• Magnetic or non-magnetic determination

• Size & Morphology is determined by SEM with magnifications of 20 – 100,000x for secondary electron images

• Quantity of particles through counting software

• Composition - Determine if particles are organic or inorganic and the elemental composition by EDS and FTIR
